Hmm i stopped just around part 2 after he announced he was going to eat himself to death.

okay. I'm just a few chapters after. I think 10 maybe.

I have to say. I'm a bit disgusted at the popularity he is receiving for his decision to broadcast him trying to eat himself to death

Hmm around eighteen now. And i agree it really is disturbing that they'd support him in eating himself to death. Now though i'm uncertain if he feels it's a joke- but i feel that he's just egging them on 'cause he wants the popularity.

I haven't read today. but I am curious how it works out

how do you think this is going to end? I'm curious. I don't think he dies...I don't know if I could handle it. but I kinda want him to... does that make me a bad person?

I also have a hard time with this back and forth between him getting his feelings hurt that these people only talk to him because of his suicide plan. and that they dont really like him

Hmm, i think i'm a little more than half way through. Really finding it strange how he's going back and forth between all this. At the same time he himself is sort of disgusted when other people bring it up as a cool thing, but then the list just seems to be getting longer and longer.

Honestly, I thought Part 3 was the best part of the whole book. I am still appalled by the classmates' behavior. That never changed through the entire story. I don't really feel sorry for Butter either. Part of me thinks I should, but I think most of me not feeling sorry stems from his super negative attitude. And the fact that he allows this to happen. Seriously, he was MORE alone after making that announcement and suddenly becoming everyone's friend than when he literally never spoke to anyone.

I just finished and i have to agree, i didn't so much feel sorry for him. Except perhaps in that moment that Anna found out that he was J.P. Of course he also sort of brought it down on himself as well.. I'm glad that they finally did call 9-1-1 once it happened, but they were still cheering him on even after he had failed.

The really aggravating part of the whole story is the other students! I wanted to slap them and their parents throughout the entire thing. I am glad that someone finally called 9-1-1, but dang. I am glad a story like this was written though. I think it is important to put examples of bullying out there, even though it is aggravating because I am very anti-bully in all forms of bullying. A lot of people don't always realize they are actually becoming victims of bullying and I like how the psychologist tells Butter that he was being cyber-bullied, even though he didn't quite see it at the time, he just saw the popularity.
