Started this on my road trip, just saw it and picked it up. Very rich imagery and I love the circus. Waiting for the conflict to unfold. Or the love story. Or the conflicted love story.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Other circus books? I read Water for Elephants but I think I forgot most of it.

Samantha (samanthajth) | 1 comments How about Night Circus? I haven't read it yet but I've heard awesome things about it.

Ceri (cerik) Yes, I read this last year and absolutely adored it, even passed it around a few of my bookish friends who all loved it too. I normally hate romance but even the romantic subplot wasn't enough to turn me off this gem. Completely magical.

Ceri (cerik) I have also read Water for Elephants although quite a while back and found it to be quite enjoyable and well written, although the details escape my memory at the moment.

One of my favourites, if you're into magic realism is Angela Carter's classic Nights at the Circus. It's the fantastical story of Fevvers, half bird- half woman, raised in a Victorian brothel who goes on to become a circus star. Absolutely mind blowing, but Carter isn't for everyone.

Finished it "The Night Circus". Very immersive, I wish I could go live at the circus.
