~ Search for a Shelf on GoodReads ~

While the listopia and genre options found under the "Explore" topic on the GoodReads menu bar are nice features, sometimes you may need to peruse by popular shelf names. You have a couple of options.

❶ For Option #1, in your brower’s Address Bar type in:

You have two choices here:

• Type in a possible shelf name in the search field (red arrow, Screen #1).

• Select a hyperlink from the numerous shelf names below (purple arrow, Screen #1).

❷ In the case of Option #2, you may want to go directly to a shelf you already know exists.

• In this case, type in the same text as above, add show and then the shelf name to the url. For example:

This will take you to a screen like this:

Special Screen #2 Notes:

• Note that the url contains the word show in the Address Bar of the browser (red arrow, Screen #2).

• The shelf name is identified (purple arrow, Screen #2).

• The number of times a displayed book has been ‘tagged’ as Urban Fantasy is also indicated (blue arrow, Screen #2). [Sometimes this in needed for a challenge.]
