Christine Ieronimo I would like to recommend A Thirst For Home to add to your classroom or library this fall. It was released in 2014 and is fiction based on actual events. It was inspired by my daughter who was adopted from Ethiopia. Shortly after our return I found her drinking from a puddle in our driveway. I am passionate about raising awareness with children here about a world beyond our borders where water doesn't always come out of a faucet.

I am thrilled that it has been embraced by teachers and librarians. It inspired a fourth grade class to raise over $700.00 for a well in Uganda.

Please visit my website for more information and teaching materials to accompany the story.

Thank you very much for reading. www.christineieronimo.com

This is and amazing book. It reminds me of To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I came across it on a blog. The blogger was announcing that the author, a friend of his, has cancer and two days ago he signed Hospice papers. My mother died in Hospice after a lengthy battle with the disease. I use Scribd and found the title was on thier site. I started skimming through it. I was amazed at how much I was sucked into the story.
