Mythical Haven discussion

Willow and Cassy walked aside each other, taking in the beautiful scenery in the forest. Willow led Cassy towards a pond; it was her favourite one, with the finest drinkable water in the land. She hoped Cassy would like it.

Cassy looked at it and then smiled, "Wow." She said with in amazement, "I've never been to this part before." She said as she looked around the place.

"It's my favourite place. Nobody knows about it, so please don't tell anyone! I hide my bow here and I bring the water from this pond home to my family" Willow said, then grunted at the last part. Tears welled up in her eyes but they were unnoticable. You should try this water, if's nice" and she gestured towards the small pond.

Cassy sat down by the pond and then took a sip and smiled, "Wow!" She said. She frowned at the part about her family, "Oh I'm sorry to hear it" She frowned and than sat down on the ground and sighed a bit.

Willow just sat there with her head low.
"My sister is the only one I come home to every night." There was a long silence until Willow muttered 'come with me' and she lead Cassy to a tree trunk. The entrance was small but the inside was huge! It was decorated with furniture, that nobody wanted any longer.
"Make yourself at home!"

after swinging from tree to tree, I detected two other mythical beings. not wanting to disturb them, I tried to slip by, but, alas, my fortune ended there. I slipped from my branch, and with an almighty crash, i landed in the forest floor. oh poo.

Casey was a bit confused at first but then she saw the room and looked around with wide eyes, "Wow!" She exclaimed, "This place is amazing!" She said as she sat down on the floor and continued to look around. It all seemed so interesting. How was that size even relevant?

Willow grinned and said nothing until she heard a loud thud.
"What was that? Lets find out!" and she ran out of the mini tree trunk house, to find another mythical being lay in the floor.
"Who are you? What is your species? How did you discover this place?" Willow bombarded the other creature with questions, and never realised that her tongue was quite sharp. She had never been this stern with anyone before; this wasn't the shy Willow...

Casey heard it too and then grabbed her spear and frowned as she looked at the being. She laughed a bit and then looked at him

"wait, slow down. i can't keep up with all this!" it was true, the elf was talking at such a pace that her mouth was little more than a blur. "ok, i'll go..."

"I'm sorry, I..." Willow trailed off.
"Please, come in here." and she lead the other creature inside the tree trunk house. "I'm sorry; I'm not normally like that. Will you promise to not tell anyone about this place?"

Cassy walked back inside and then looked at the little salamander thing. "What are you?" She asked

"whoa, wait... first you threaten me, and now you are saying that you want to be hospitable?" my ears must have been decieved, and this was a cute elf so... why not.

"Trust me, my tongue isn't ever that sharp. I'm sorry. So, what are you? I'm an Elf and I'm Willow. This is Cassy" and she nodded to the other Elf. She smiled, nervously, hoping this creature would be nice.

She smiled at the creature, "So what are you?" She asked again as she looked at him. It looked like a lizard or thing

"i... me... I'm a salamander." my stuttering is going to get me killed some day.

Cassy frowned, "Wow... that's a first... so your always.... like that..."

"Whats your name?" smiled Willow. She attempted to befriend the salamander, but then she remembered the last time she tried to make a friend; she had Cassy, so that was okay.

"Tgoth." this time i am more confident, after seeing that they are kindly.

this is odd. i am not used to this treatment. people being nice is something new to me. I might as well enjoy it while i can.

"Hey, Tgoth! Nice to meet you!" beamed Willow. She was amazed; two new friends in one day. Could it get better? So, this is my secret hideout that nobody knows about. Well, except from you and Cassy, of course." and Willow gave a quiet tinkle. That was the closest she had ever got to a laugh! Friends do have a big benefit on life! It's nice to have friends, she thought.

Cassy just watched the two talk. She really did not know what to say. She smiled a bit as they spoke yet did not say anything. She feared she would say something incorrect and offend one of them somehow so she kept quiet. She sighed and then sat on the floor and put her spear away.

"well, um... nice to meet you too? i'm sorry, i'm new to the hole friend making thing."

Willow grinned. The three sat there and shared little snacks that she had stored in the tree trunk house.
"I have to go home, now" Willow said, as the sky started to turn dark.

"indeed. I should go too." to be honest, i had the time of my life there, with the elves, but i couldn't stay.

Cassy nodded, "I should be on my way too." She checked the time and then out her spear back into its other form.

Leo was climbing tree in the forest. It was his favorite activity and it was the perfect time for it. But he also had time to practice his powers. As a powerbind he had lot of responsibilities like actually using his powers.

Razh flew over head and looked for hunters. He loved getting into fights with them and he enjoyed protecting the forest dwelling Haven citizens. HE spotted a child in a tree and flew over to say hi.

Leo saw the boy fly over. He was so surprised he fell out of the tree, when he stood up he looked at the boy. "Wow you look like me. I mean not like me but your human. I've never seen another human here before."

"I am not a human child. I am a powerbind much like yourself." HE smiled and landed his wings disappearing. "I am Rahz. What might be your name young one." He held out his hand for the child to shake it.

Leo shook his hand. "Powerbind also. I mean my name his Leo. How did you do that?" Leo pointed to Rahz's wings. Leo always tried to use his powers but whenever he did something bad happened. One time he accidentally sent the Elven Center on fire.

She looked around and then quickly put her hair back and sighed. She bit her lip as she climbed to the top of a tree. Sbe found everything here so fascinating.

Adrian ran as if his life depended on it. which in this case, as always, it did. i hate demon ninja squirrels! he thought to himself as he jumped over a fallen tree. he could hear the creep things chirping as they jumped from tree to tree trying to kill him.

She swallowed and then looked around from the top of her tree. She took out her notebook and started sketching the things around her. She lightly dragged her pencil across the paper and formed the figures of the trees, and then the leaves and then the... Wait what was that?

Adrian nearly ran into the girl and had to swerve to avoid hitting....and promptly tripped over a rock. he immediately got up, intending to run, and saw they were surrounded. the demon ninja squirrel was twice as large as any other squirrel, dressed in a classic ninja outfit, carried all sorts of weapons, and was one of the few creatures Adrian hated dealing with since they kept trying to kill him. all i said was they smelled like they needed a bath!

She frowned for a moment and then looked around, this was a new one... A very new one... Wow... She put her notepad away and then thought for a moment. First off, who was the boy, second off... What was with the squirrels? Was that the way things were around here or was this just out of the blue? Certainly this wasn't normal for the people of the Haven right? She had only just come here, but still, this couldn't be the way things always where right? And then there was the fact that... Well she was still stuck on the squirrels.

"whatever you do, don't make any sudden moves." he tried to be brave, but then one of the larger squirrels drew his sword and , with a rather adorable squeaky shout, attacked him. with a rather unmanly yelp he lifted his staff and shot the rodent with a fireball. the thing fell to the ground, sending a stench of burned fur and squirrel into the air. "aw crap." he said with a gulp.

She made a slight squeaking noise and then looked at the boy, "What-why-who-" She tried to form a question. Up until now she hadn't seen anything wrong with the Haven, but the squirrels put her on pause. She tilted her head to the side as she shifted into a jackal and sat down. She didn't know why she was a jackal, but at the moment it was better than being a human... Or powerbind... Whatever she was.

Adrian frowned at the power shift in the air but couldn't think about as the squirrels attacked. he started blasting left and right but only managed to hit a few before they grew wise to the trick. he glared at the jackal and said, "a little help would be appreciated!" then ducked with a very foul word as a squirrels started throwing exploding nuts at him. "I HATE DEMON NINJA SQUIRRELS!"

She shifted back to herself and then looked at him in a bit of an amused shock, "Demon ninja squirrels?" She murmured to herself as she shook her head with a smile tugging at the end of her lips. She looked around and then took out her dagger... Well it looked like a dagger. She really didn't know why she had it with her at the moment, but oh well. She looked at the boy and then picked up one of the squirrels with her mind and brought it to her. She looked at it and then swallowed and looked back at the boy. The squirrel didn't look dangerous.

one of the squirrels then revealed the demon aspect by turning into a 6ft behmoth squirrel, covered in bright red fur and drooling what might have blood. with another foul swear word and knocked it on the head with his staff and used the first spell that came to his mind. he shouted the word and instantly doused the huge squirrel with water. "hey you smell a lot better now!"

She chuckled and then droped the squirrel on its head and shifted back into her jackal form. She watched the scene slightly amused and very confused. She barked a bit at nothing really and then sat down.
