The Twitter party was fab, but I needed a nap afterwards!! One question that was asked by a couple different people was, "Why did you decide to write Morpheus as the Caterpillar, and not the Mad Hatter character?" I thought this was an intertesting question. I don't think you had time to answer it, or I was just so confused in the rapid firing I missed it! LOL!!

I didn't want to rely on the Mad Hatter as her guide because so many other adaptations have. The caterpillar is one of my favorite characters, being witty and intelligent yet cryptic and filled with riddles, and he never gets enough screen time in the remakes that I’ve seen. So I chose him, and gave him a whole new identity and back story. ;)

I've never seen the caterpillar presented that way before this series.
Yes, I can see how he was more of a blank slate to work with. Great thinking!! I love the fact that he is a caterpillar because his humanized form is so much the butterfly. Thanks for answering, A.G. :)
