I own a copy since more than 20 years, I liked it as a child :)

This book is one I remember my parents reading to me as a little kid...and when I was a preschool teacher I read it to my students. It is one of my favorite books ever--so fun and imaginative--I can't believe it got bad reviews!

I didn't care for the movie, but I'm sort of old school. I liked the original cartoon that was made of it.

Besides, I have been dying to read this book for a long time. It's one of the first books I put in my "to-read" list when I joined in 2011, and I finally read it!
I wanted to read it ever since I heard Alt J's song "Breezeblocks". The lyrics allude to the book, so I got curious because I thought the song was brilliant.
Anyway, I read it. It's pretty good. I wish I read it when I was younger, I guess.
