1. The opening scene with Yarvi. He's a clever one.
2. Skara's escape and Blue Jenner's character - he surprised me.
3. Thorns interaction with Skara when they first meet. Thorn knew just what to say.
I don't really remember Koll from previous books, but it seems like I should.

Thanks - I had the first book in ebook I can search, but book 2 I won the goodreads giveaway so I can't search for names :)
Thanks!

I can't remember why she does. If anyone knows the answer to this, please post! I lent the second book to my husband to read while he's out of town this week, so I have to wait til he gets back to look this one up!

1. The ..."
I really like the juxtaposition between Thorn's aggressive side and her occasional soft side. I think she'll be a good mentor to Skara in many ways. I bet we will see quite a few scenes with interactions between them in future chapters.

What I'm really waiting for is to finally learn more back story about the "elves" that used to live in this world. That's what I'm interested in the most!

And I don't remember Koll's mother's death but they did mention it's been two years so a lot can happen. Wonder if that will be explained later.
Usually lots of new POVs bug me but I'm pretty ok with it right now. All three are entertaining in their own way: Skara is smart and has revenge on her mind, Koll is on his way to becoming Yarvi jr, and Raith is a complete psycho (almost the male version of Thorn).
Great ending to this section, there aren't many writers out there who write battle scenes better than Abercrombie. Forgot that Uthil was a sword master

There were some great lines and conversations in this section that made me laugh. Raith's odd fighting style also made me chuckle.
Yeah. I can't really think of love that does that either Bill.
Grrm could benefit from this idea.. Hell probably just kill of his POVs instead.

No spoiler tags required. Though it would be highly appreciated if you Uncheck Add to my Update Feed to avoid accidentally spoiling this for your good read friends.
Please do not discuss events from later chapters. Referring back to events from a previous section/book is fine.
