Hi guys!

How's everyone feeling after that SUPPPPER long 1,200pg read-through of The Bonehuters? I hope you're all at least somewhat happy with how the book was, because I believe this one is just as long!

I've ordered my copy and it's been dispatched but it's not actually arrived just yet so as soon as it does I shall look through it and divide up the threads for us to discuss it.

I'm looking forward to seeing where Erikson proposes to take us next :) Let me know what you're hoping for!

TS Chan (tschan) | 159 comments Looking at the page count, this looks even longer than The Bonehunters! Thanks for delaying the end date for this Group Read, I think I'll need to take some to plow through this one.

Evan | 67 comments Many people are divided about Reaper's Gale it seems like in the Malazan community. From what I can tell it rarely ranks very high among fan's favorites in the series. I however think it's a rock solid entry, lots of good stuff to be had in this book. It is a long book, but we should be used to that at this point. But it's actually one of my favorites in the series. The end of the second book? I think, gives me absolute chills just thinking about it.

I think one of the things that people have a hard time with in this book is that there is one arc that will feel completely filler and unnecessary featuring a character called Redmask. It will feel like filler but I assure it is not, it is playing the long con.

This book also features one of my most favorite Fiddler moments ever. Like, yes, this guy is the man. That's why you're the best.

There's also a new character named Beak. You WILL remember him.
