I want to nominate a cult classic, I've been wanting to read for a long time; Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann. This is a book about Hollywood, drug abuse, and pop-culture...seems like the type of novel, I need to read

Can I go with Fight Club? I don't think we have read this one yet, have we? There is so much divide about the book and film so I think it would be interesting.

I'll nominate The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, a coming of age classic and cult classic.

I will nominate The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. I find it interesting that we have a thread about it in this group, but it has never been a group read.
