I think I know where the Dhiren/Tiger thing is going, but I'm curious to see how that's going to play out.
So far, I like it. The writing isn't amazing, granted; there's way too much detail. And the story's very slow to get going. But still, I think I'll end up enjoying this one.

I really hope you do! Can't wait to discuss it. :)
And don't let my fangirling stop you from being honest in the discussion if you don't like it, lol. To each fangirl her own opinion. :)

I love the characters too! I'm little over halfway through it now, and I have to stand by what I said about the writing. It's soooo slowwww. There's just a lot of...irrelevant scenes.
But I'm not saying I haven't enjoyed it so far. I have. I'm just hoping for more action. I'm interested to see what happens!
(Side note: Kelsy + Ren = SO adorable).

Yeah, it picks up in later books, but there are definitely some slower sections.
Okay, so halfway through... what just happened?

But I'm still invested in the characters, and I think I'll continue the series to see what happens. Really, it was a fun read! It could have been a lot shorter, though... Ah, well. :)

Really? Cuz I felt like it didn't rely on the romance as much as most other YA books do. Then again, I haven't finished rereading it (that's what happens when you're reading 3 books at once :p) and I first read it a few years ago, so maybe my opinion on that will change.
But I definitely feel like the later books (which I've reread more recently) focus more on the action than the romance. I mean, the romance is certainly still /there/, but there is a lot more of the epic fantasy part going on.

Cool! Can't wait to hear what you think of the rest of them! And there are definitely periods where she reverts back to the romance, but, like I said, seemed to me like there was more action in the later books. Even though there was still a lot of relationship stuff going on, I think they kept their eyes on the prize overall.
Would you risk it all to change your destiny?
The last thing Kelsey Hayes thought she’d be doing this summer was trying to break a 300-year-old Indian curse. With a mysterious white tiger named Ren. Halfway around the world. But that’s exactly what happened. Face-to-face with dark forces, spellbinding magic, and mystical worlds where nothing is what it seems, Kelsey risks everything to piece together an ancient prophecy that could break the curse forever.
Tiger’s Curse is the exciting first volume in an epic fantasy-romance that will leave you breathless and yearning for more.
Who's ready for August's group read? :D
