This chapter killed me. So emotional. Witnessing the downfall of humankind with this kind of detachment. So stirring. Loved the song he mentioned. Listened to the song as I read and thought it was perfect tonally.

Agreed! The song really did add atmosphere to it and I loved it too! I also agree about the detachment being super creepy and menacing to read. It just made it seem SO devastating and horrible.

I am enjoying the middle section of this book a lot more I must admit!
