How do you get giveaways??????
Marylou Marylou Aug 04, 2015 11:59AM
I guess you have to be a speed reader to win on any of the free giveaways! I have entered sooooooooooo many and I have only received one book. I read it and reviewed it (even though it's said that you don't need to and it won't hurt your chances) but I have not received any more. I'm getting very discouraged with the no column next to winners chosen.

Boo hoo. I will stop whining.
PS> If anyone knows a trick to getting selected as a winner, I'm willing to listen.....

I've entered many as well and I haven't won any. Be thankful, I guess, that you won one!

If anyone answers you and gives you suggestions, please pass it along because I'd like to know how to win too!

Thanks!

I have won a few giveaways when I first join GR but it's been a while since I've won any. I was told the more active you are on the site the better your chances of winning are but I don't know if that is true.

I read many books a year, 190 so far this year, and am always on this site updating my status and searching; guess what?
I have never received a give away so I don't know what the trick is either. It seems after years on this I would get at least something, at least once. But thank God for libraries they are the best so I really don't miss them.

I have entered many times and have received 3 or 4 books so far. I usually enter only those that are giving at least 10 copies. Another site I have discovered is Net Galley. Publishers will send you kindle books in exchange for a review. Sometimes you get rejected but I have gotten a few books from here and always write a review. I just got Chris Bohjalian's new book The Guest Room. Most of the books from Net Galley are either new releases or are due to come out shortly

I won a free giveaway once; but, it was a mass paperback; so that was disappointing as they can be found a 'dime for a dozen' at my retirement age; I don't prefer mass paperback smaller books anymore
