Jim (therapon24601) | 183 comments So....anybody reading this yet? Surprisingly I am really enjoying it. It reminds me of playing Diablo III and other such games. I was hoping to not like it so I could get back to Tarzan. Only 98 pages in, but somehow I feel I'm going to want to read further into the series. I am both happy and unhappy about this...and Season 3 of Game if Thrones came today....yeah....maybe if I stop reading books on therapy techniques and/or quit sleeping....hmmmm....

Anne Denise | 78 comments I'm on page 63. The beginning was a little snoozy for me. It seemed very repetitive about how old and cranky The Doctor is, but they finally arrived at the ghul site and the action, so hopefully it will pick up from here.

Jim (therapon24601) | 183 comments Action? [Over the shoulder to Amy] Is there supposed to be action in this book? :)

I am at the exact halfway point and am still thoroughly enjoying it.

Jim (therapon24601) | 183 comments Amy, you chose a book in a trilogy that only has one book out...This is very bad.....

Pamela | 79 comments Got the book today. Glad it's a short one.

Jim (therapon24601) | 183 comments Got the next book for Readers Choice today.

Anne Denise | 78 comments I'm kind of having trouble with Crescent Throne. Every time they take off on a walk across the city I fall asleep. It takes like 3 pages to get from one side of town to the other!

Plus, I don't know about y'all but I get the impression the doctor is old. What do you think? (snark snark)

Jim (therapon24601) | 183 comments Pretty fast 3 pages to walk across town. It take a page and a half to get dinner from next door.

Anne Denise | 78 comments LOL Ok, maybe I was being a bit generous there. I didn't want anyone to accuse me of exaggerating. I'm starting to just flip through the transitional scenes, though. I feel like they are just long sequences of reiteration about the characters' personalities and backstories. I got it, already!

I do really like the world building, however. The magic is interesting and I like the new "middle eastern" influence. I even like the kind of formal "middle eastern" way they talk, it's just that the chatter goes on too long for me.

Jim (therapon24601) | 183 comments I didn't notice it myself. Be prepared to read some of those transitional scenes some very important things start to happen in them....I just don't remember when or how many.
