David Staniforth: Alloria 1 & 2 on countdown deal, only 99p/99c

I haven't brought copies yet, but will do so: if they go on the list you can be sure I'll buy copies and read them at some point (hopefully in the near future).

Any comments would be most welcome :~)
I like it, but its very different from the first two covers in the series. I think it would look better if they all matched IMO :)

I'm glad you enjoyed the sample of Witchlet, and hope you enjoy it all when you buy it! :)

The prophecy naming Davran Fuel to the Fire seems to be coming true, as her previous actions have only served to make matters worse. The trend continues as Davran faces an unexpectedly tenacious enemy – an enemy that has been biding her time – an enemy that truly is the stuff of nightmares.
And here’s the link to Amazon: http://authl.it/B00IW62CFK
To coincide with this launch, the first book of the trilogy Fuel to the Fire is free on Amazon dotcom and UK for as long as Amazon will allow it to be. You can find it here: http://authl.it/B00AGJR4VI
And what do I expect for this act of generosity? Nothing, other than you download the book, possibly read it, hopefully enjoy it. If all three occur and you'd like to give a review that would be brilliant, recommending to others would be even better.

We first met Davran in Fuel to the Fire, the first of this trilogy. As with all trilogies, you really need to have read the first two books to know who the characters are and what their relationship is to each other. This book is the archetypal battle between good and evil and there remains the possibility that many, even most, will die. This book is a gift for lovers of the dragon! They exist in number and variety and play a significant role.
David Staniforth has a gift for description and I’ve enjoyed this aspect of all his fantasy works. He is also skilled in writing the sort of villain you love to hate. You will find both in here and a plot which will leave you on tenterhooks to the very end. Excellent stuff!
* And the first book is still free, but only while stocks last ;~)

This book is an absolutely amazing read, and a fantastic start to the series! It's wonderfully written, with well-rounded characters, a plot that moves along at a nice pace, and excellent descriptions.
Thanks Victoria. I'm so pleased you enjoyed it.

As for reading them back to back... I always like to read a series one after another when possible, so I'm actually pleased the third book came out in time for me to do so.

"I like to think anyone can be anything they want to be, given enough motivation. Sometimes evil men will do good, and good men will do evil. Each and every one of us has the capacity to travel to the extremes of both."

Wow. I wanted to take my time and savor this book by reading slowly but it started off with such a bang and was so damn exciting the whole time I just found that I couldn't stop reading! This was the longest book in the series, which was fantastic, because there were so many characters and intense situations it was so fantastic to get to spend more time with them.
There is a lot to love about this book. First and foremost, as usual, David Staniforth has brought his wonderfully descriptive writing style to the table once more and described even more places that I wanted to explore and discover. The city Santaxiom and Onktor Valley were two places that I loved reading about, they were so beautiful and exciting! There were new creatures and people (conchubar, onktor, etc) as well which added even more spice and flavor to the story.
Um also can I just say that the main evil character, Grizzle, was probably one of the most evil, terrifying, and downright disgusting characters I have ever read about? Seriously. Some of the scenes involving her really really freaked me out (in a good way). She was just about as scary as Jit the hedge witch and Emperor Jagang from Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series. There is literally nothing as scary to me as those characters so for Grizzle to even come CLOSE to that is a huge accomplishment, in my opinion.
My favorite aspect of the book was Davran. What an amazing female character. I absolutely love her and was so excited to watch her grow and become an even more amazing woman in this last book. There are too few characters like her, unfortunately. She totally rocks. :)
I would recommend this book and this series to anyone who loved fantasy stories with great characters!

I mentioned the Fuel To The Fire trilogy to a friend of mine, and he downloaded the first book (I think he grabbed it last night; it was last night he told me anyway). Not sure if he'll get the others in the series, but if he enjoys them as much as I did then he might.

Are there any Ausies here?

Copies of the 3rd book are now beginning to sell, which is promising. Thanks to all that have already downloaded a copy.
As for the rest: go on, you know you want to ;~)

The third and final book of the Fuel to the Fire series & wow, what a finish! The ending was wrapped up absolutely beautifully and had the desired conclusion.
I have to say, i was sad to finish. I'm going to miss Davran and Ronyn, the characters were utterly stunning and kept me gripped on until the very end. Davran as usual was a fantastic protagonist, she's such a wonderfully strong female lead. She wasn't without her flaws, but the characters in this book were so human, none of them were perfect.
Book's One and Two were amazing in their own way, but this has to be my favourite of the three. The story really took you in and got really gritty in parts. Grizzle was beyond a doubt one of the most despicable characters I’ve ever had the misfortune of meeting. She was outright vile and (excuse the use of the word) an exceptional 'Baddy'. I don’t think that the author could have done a better job making a character we love to hate! ... though i bordered more on the hatred side personally.
I usually pride myself in guessing the ending to books & working out the 'who did it' before its time, but i genuinely did not see this ending coming! That in itself earned the 5*'s.
Also, i loved the spectacular amount of magical creatures used in this title. Being a huge fan of dragons anyway, i was undeniably loving their huge role this time around. We also met a new race named the Onktors, I’m just sad we only just met them in the last book of the three.
A huge pat on the back and hair ruffle for David Staniforth. He managed to bring alive the wonderful story of Davran, the girl of prophecy. A book series i would willingly recommend to any fantasy lover.

What readers have to say:
“This is no lightweight story. It is many layered with some truly gross and malevolent characters snaking through.”
“With the main character being ten years old, I was expecting it to be more of a middle-grade fantasy. It's not, at all. These kids are flung into a world of danger, pain, love, and brutal honesty that makes for an incredible story.”
“I simply fell in love with these characters and this story – it’s made my favourites list!”
