Fantasy Book Club discussion

This is quite interesting, in a what is going on type of way. I keep trying to decide who is good or bad, who to root for and generally what is happening.

The magic system is bizarre. I can't fathom the plants. The gender reversal is odd, in that some men are passive some aren't, some seem to be controlling, others useless.

Then there are the stars!

Oh, and the f*~king. I'm not into swearing in my books, unless it's a modern setting. It seems completely out of keeping and throws me out of the world. I'm sure another term could have been found.
