Alex Chandler So when i first started reading this series I was instantly hooked. I enjoyed all three of the PoV characters Arlen Leesha and Rojer. I found the world interesting and had some real interesting insights into human behavior. As the series progressed I still really loved the series and would of recommended it to fantasy lovers.

But my main question is where other people as disappointed in the 4th installment The Skull Throne as I was? Thats no to say it was all bad but there were certain points of view we didnt see enough of and others we saw far to much of. Just generally feel like this installment didnt really get us anywhere. Sometimes not a bad thing as long as there is some major character development but i feel that it wasn't enough.

I know that is all sounding very negative but i still like the series. Just none of my friends have read it so i wanted to see if it was just me who felt this way.

Lafayette I was disapointed too, I gave it 3 stars but was waiting for something better...

Lindi Aagedal | 14 comments I'm still on book three, but pretty much all the reviews I've read on book 4 has been negative to one extent or another.. But for me that's ok, because it means I won't have high expectations, and will probably enjoy the book more..

Tanya I loved the first book the warded Man. Sadly I only liked the other books of the series. It had the potential to be a great series. I just found with all the books after the first one, that the story focused too much on charatcers we didn't really need to know about. Yes some of the story about them was interesting. But I would have preferred more story time on the main characters. Like I said it had the potential to be an amazing series, if the story was more like the first book.

Jamie Stricklin (starcrunch25) I read the first 3 books all at once and when The Skull Throne came out I couldn't seem to get into it. I'll read it eventually but the ending of the last book left me feeling blah.
