Okay, I will come out of the closet now: I am a HUUUGE Game of Thrones fan, in every aspect in every way. Let me see what else Mr. Martin can do.

I read Fevre Dream also from him. It's about vampires and although it was a little slow at the beginning, it was really interesting and scary. Let me know how is this other book. I hope you enjoy it :)
I didn't know Martin wrote sci-fi! I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of it to decide if I should read it or not!
I will definitely let you both know what I thought of the book, Silvia and Sophie. I am eager to get started on the book as soon as possible, since he has already proven so much to me with GOT.
