one cup of dried brown onions
4 cups of water
i pack of bacon (250 grams) chopped
oil for frying
one onion chopped
2 stock cubes (i use roasted onion and leek flavor)
smoked Spanish paprika
2-3 cups more water
in a deep saucepan, add the lentils and 4 cups of water (do not add salt to the lentils while they are cooking, they will become hard) on a medium heat bring to boil and then lower the temperature, leave to simmer until the lentils are soft, (fish a couple out and squish them with you finger if they are mushy they are perfect) now add the 2 stock cubes and take off the heat.
in a other pan put about 10 ml of oil, now add the onion, and let it caramelize on a low heat. then add the chopped bacon and cook till done, add the paprika to taste, remember that the smoked Spanish paprika is very strong, so less is more
Now put the lentils back on the heat and add the onions and bacon and the rest of the water, depending on how thick or thin you want the soup. use your own discretion.
now boil this for about 5 to 10 min, just so the flavors can marry, and presto!
you can eat the soup just like that, or if you are like me, you can use a stick blender to blend it till smooth, your choice.
this if a favorite dish of mine, when i don't have time, and who does not have bacon in their freezer for just in case ;)

a tasty creamy honey mustard dipping sauce
tablespoon of mayonnaise (cant taste it, its just a base really, something to make it creamy.)
tablespoon of honey (or a bit more if you like it sweeter)
teaspoon of mustard (or a bit more if you like it mustard-y)
a drop or white vinegar
mix til its a nice creamy light yellow and enjoy. this is enough for one or two people, but only one serving. its an easy make though, so if you need to make more just up the measurements a bit and go with taste testing.

Homemade French fries.
Cut the potatoes in anyway you like them. (Like chips, like fries, wedges.)
Put some oil in a pan on the stove.
Wait until the oil heats up. Then put cut potatoes in.
Cook until desired golden brown. Remove each and put on a few pieces of paper towel or in a strainer to drain some of the grease.
(I usually eat them with ranch. XD)

both those are tasty, thats for sure. heres an easy recipe for onion rings you might like fangs, i know hood that you have seen this recipe before in your group, but its so good i gotta share it where i can, lol

Caramel and some Tortillas. Dip them in, amazing!
if youre making brownies from a mix, add a few squirts of chocolate sunday topping, you wont be disappointed. ive got a from scratch recipe for brownies but ive not tried it yet. when i do and if its any good i will happily be sharing the recipe

Works best with a boneless chicken breast. Preheat oven to 350. Melt a qtr cup of butter per chicken breast with garlic chopped or minced. Drench chicken in butter and garlic, leaving a little behind for later use. Cover chicken in breadcrumbs then put it in a metal baking dish. Dont forget to spray or butter the pan so it doesnt stick too bad. Then, put remaining breadcrumbs in leftover butter/garlic sauce, mix and cover the chicken with the crumbly coating. Bake for 45 mins to an hour, keep an eye on it tho as all ovens seem to differ. Enjoy :)

a few tablespoons of breadcrumbs
your favourite spices

some minced garlic
some olive or vegetable oil
pour a little oil into a bowl and add some garlic, it depends on how much chicken youre making but i tend to go with about a tablespoon and ahalf of oil per chicken breast, half a teaspoon of garlic per chicken breast.
mix in a separate bowl the parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs and spices
dip chicken in oil and garlic til its coated
dip coated chicken into the breadcrumb mix til its covered
add remaining breadcrumb mix to remaining oil and mix
put chicken in a metal or glass baking dish then cover with the mixed breading in an oven at 400 degrees celcius (youll have to convert yourself for my american fahrenheit friends)
bake for 25-30 minutes (til top is golden brown)

Light, Creamy Cesar Salad Dressing
1/4 cup lot fat sour cream
1/4 cup low fat plain yogurt
1/4 teaspoon dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 clove of garlic, minced
3 drops of hot sauce (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
mix in a bowl and enjoy on some greenery :)
