Books to The Big Screen discussion

Have any of you guys read and watched Enders Game?? I watched it and i liked it but I have never read the book. Have you?

I say this all the time lol.... you'll enjoy the movie more if you've read the book. You'll understand the almost deadpan tone of the characters and the whole movie.

I snatched it up on dvd as soon as it came out!

My sister read the book and she hated the movie. She said they changed to many things. What about you, cate?

I liked both but lean towards the book. The ending completely blindsided me.

The movie comes across a little bland and flat for a sci-fi but I appreciated that aspect because it's pretty much the same in the book. Ender was bitter and the whole mood of the book is not really happy. But that comes across better on paper than on screen, if that makes sense.
