I just finished this one last night. I don't know why I didn't read it when it came out, but I'm glad I was able to read it this year for the Challenge. I enjoyed this story and found it to be a decent YA read-alike for Storm Front with the combination of paranormal creatures and humor.

Finished this over the weekend. I enjoyed it! I'm glad there is a sequel to read because I really felt there was more story to tell.
I loved this book! Can't wait to read the rest of the series. What a wonderful change from all the realistic fiction I'd been reading so far. I love fantasy and humor, and McBride's novel was a wonderful blending of the two!
I always recommend this to adults who like the Sookie Stackhouse books, because it has the same irreverence, humor, and cast of strange creatures.
