What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I can't remember the name of this series. All I remember is that the book is about brothers who fight demons, and they can only be with daughters of eve. I also remember that each book in the series is about a different brother.

I can't help you, but if you replace "HELP!!" with "brothers who fight demons" plus whether it is children's/young adult fiction or adult fiction and what year it was read (1990? 1980? Some Googling came up with a series by Trinity Faegen about the Mephisto brothers. I can't figure out if they fight demons or not, but I think the daughters of Eve thing is right. Seems like very intense stuff.

Do you recall how many brothers there were? When you say "they can only be with daughters of eve" does that mean that something terrible would happen if they were with someone else, or was it just habit/custom? Did one of the brothers defy this in one of the books?
