Books to The Big Screen discussion

Okay, everyone! Time for a new game! In this one, each person must create a sentence ( just one ) and then the next person afterwards creates one! But you must make sure your stories make sense. You guys keep on creating sentences, but there is one trick. The mods will be watching your progress and can call out "STOP AND RENEW". That means that you guys will have to create a new story. :)

EXAMPLE:

Sally- Teresa jumped up into the hay loft, glancing around.

Drew- She quickly drew a knife and started to crawl towards the pig pen.

I'll start :)


Tom gazed down the hall of the crowded high school, looking for someone.

But the halls were packed with so many people, he couldn't see who he was looking for.

Tom heaved a sigh in exasperation.

He was always looking for Her, even though he knew he deep down she was gone.

She had died, or so he heard.

A deep heaviness took root in his soul, a constant reminder of his pain.

Tom slammed his locker shut and walked to class.

He just hated Living Environment H so much.

Tom made his way to his class as he occasionally had to shove some people away, ignoring the pitiful looks.

As he walked into class, he saw a girl that looked depressingly like Her.

She must be new, he thought.

Though their eyes met for a moment, he only nodded his head and moved on.

Trying to replace Her wouldn't work, it would only remind him of the constant aching in his chest.

The aching that was constantly there. Day and Night. At Home or at school.

( Remember, Jessa, only one sentence! Although I did like what you did with the short sentences. :) )


Tom plopped down in his seat and hung his head.

His long, unruly hair brushed up against his folder, with all of her pieces of secrets still attached.

His heart broke all over again.

He didn't know if he could keep it together until the end of school.

His stomach tighten at the sight of her, in the picture he kept in his notebook.

As he sighed from loss, the new girl sat next to him.

His eyes did that thing where they kept trying to meet hers, and he had to drag them away from their new fixation.

"Hello" the girl said, a little hesitant.

"Hi." That was all.

Tom turned his head away, but the girl kept staring at him.

"I'm new here," she continued, trying to make conversation.

He simply nodded.

She continued to stare at him, "What?" He asked.

"I wanted to know if you were busy after school; maybe we can do homework together, or show me around the school."

She looks a little hurt and pulls a notebook out of her backpack.

"Maybe," was all he replied.

Ooops sorry, didn't see the newest comment:

And he wanted to say yes, he really did.

"Sarah", the girl says as she stuck out her petite hand.

"Tom," he took it and shook politely, but it felt awkward - he wasn't much of a hand shaker.

Her hand felt like a thousand little spiders weaving their way though a delicate web.

And her eyes sparkled.

Sarah slowly took her hand away, her fingers brushing his.

This is not allowed, he told himself.

The Teacher walked in, right when Tom was about to tell her that he had a girlfriend.

Well...a used-to-be girlfriend, he thought to himself as he prepared himself for a boring lecture about some type of group project.

Maybe it was Fate, he thought.

And he knew how Fate can change things.

Even the things that he thought couldn't be changed.

He remembered his old girlfriend, the pain stronger than ever.

Oh, I absolutely hate to do this but...

STOP AND RENEW

One of you can start us off, and it can be about anything. :)

Lilly peddled on her bike even faster, Jake will NOT WIN!

But, of course, Jake thought the exact same thing - except opposite.

Sharp turn up ahead, BRING IT ON Lilly thought.

"Be prepared to lose," Jake called over his shoulder, his blue eyes glimmering.

Lilly sped up her pace, the wind whipping her cherry hair back from her face.
