Perspective Plus discussion

This past Saturday, Narzain and I went shopping. He needed new work pants and I needed new "jeans". I like Liz and Me brand denim leggings that I can only get at Catherine's. I have been shopping at Catherine's since it opened over 20 years ago, but the last several years I have been forced into more catalog shopping as they have slowly phased out 6x and some 5x sizes. My jeans are a 38W and I have been able to order them special via the store for some time even though they were not on the rack.


The sales clerk is one I have known for years and she tried but they are no longer available in a 38W from them or their website. I am now near tears , thinking that I am now going to have to walk around naked. She suggested that I try a 34/36W or 5x in the new sizes. So just to humor everyone, I took a pair into the dressing room,just knowing that this would end in tears.

It did.


They fit.

Yes, kids, I have lost a jean size. I not only got into the size smaller jeans, I also got into a 4x top, got in on all the way, had room in the arms and while it felt tight, it did not look tight. (The 5x fit much better but was not overly loose.)

Narzain bought me 2 pair since they were BOGO 50% off. They are part of my birthday which is this Saturday.

So, I was right, it ended in tears alright, just not the ones I thought they would be. I expected tears of shame, frustration, and anger. Not joy. It was nice for a change.

And there were a few tears on my part, while Kim was in the dressing room changing back, and I was telling the sales clerk what a big deal this really was. Yes, I got all verklemt (discuss among yourselves).

OH MY GODS!!!! That is absolutely AWESOME ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Yeah, it is. I'm still in a bit of shock, but it feels really good too.
