fiction files redux discussion

So, I asked in another thread if anyone would be interested in some short story group reads. I have started compiling a list of possible stories. This Grace Paley story is not actually on my draft list, but I came across it and really liked it, and since it is partly about the process of writing/reading stories, I thought it might be a nice story to start with. It has the added benefit of being very short. :D

“A Conversation With My Father” was published in 1972 in the New American Review, collected in Enormous Changes at the Last Minute (1974), and later in the Collected Stories (1994).
