This was a powerful story, not like what I expected when dealing with this dark subject. It's the story of a young man whose best friend committed suicide. He was left this playlist of songs that would "help him understand." I don't think they did help him to figure out what was going on in his friend's head, but it helped him on his journey through this pain.
When my daughter was in high school, one of her classmates killed himself. It wasn't someone she knew closely but she did know him. It was painful to watch her and her classmates struggle through the shock of mortality when they were just starting to consider colleges. I think the struggles that were faced in this book were REAL. And it was powerful.
Highly recommended, but have tissues ready.
