Free stock images that don't suck!

http://www.canstockphoto.com is a site that you have to pay for, but they are royalty-free with hundreds and thousands of pictures. I would recommend them if you need stock photography for a book cover.

www.unsplash.com and www.freeimages.com.
I don't know if they've already been posted.

All sources on that list are free-to-use for commercial purposes. Some require attribution, but others are released under a CC0 license (Unsplash is one of these). CC0 means that images are free to use and modify for any purpose, and no attribution is required.
Hope this is helpful! Lovely to be here.

Go to www.flickr.com
Type what you're looking for into the search bar
When the results come up you'll see a drop down menu that says Any License - Change it to Commercial Use Allowed
Click on an image you're interested in and on the right hand side below the date it was uploaded on you'll see a link a link that will say something like "Some rights reserved" If you click the link, it will explain how you can use the image and under what terms.

I just went to find some stock photos and found that the link that started this whole thread no longer works. I cleaned out the thread and kept only the comments that have links to web sites that offer free stock images.
If you know of any good web sites that offer free stock photos, this is your one chance to add a link to a thread here. I know you're all dying to do that.
Also, I did not check all the links I kept. If anyone finds one that no longer works, let me know and I'll delete it.
