Hey all, if you have ever been interested in the Riyria stories and not sure if they are for you, here is a good way go try one out for free.

The Viscount and the Witch is a little short story I wrote a few years ago when my self-published books were being removed from the market to make way for the ones coming out from Orbit (fantasy imprint of big-five Hachette). Later this short expanded into my Riyria Chronicles series, but it was written such that no prior knowledge of my world or my characters is required.



Eleven years before they were framed for the murder of a king, before even assuming the title of Riyria, Royce Melborn and Hadrian Blackwater were practically strangers. Unlikely associates, this cynical thief and idealist swordsman, were just learning how to work together as a team. In this standalone first installment of The Riyria Chronicles, Royce is determined to teach his naive partner a lesson about good deeds.
