A Whole | 11 comments Nice article. I like 'out of the box' things, a bit like a philosophy of life for me.

Erich Penhoff | 133 comments I lived out of the box many a month, scary and different, but then the box gets too small too. We start looking at a bigger box, a crate if you will. And once you found the crate it is hard to step back into the first box you left behind. It is our nature, mine anyway, to keep looking for a bigger crate, expand for ever or until someone set fire to your crate. But interesting? Yes every step of the way if you are adventurous and willing to do the unexpected.

Stan Morris (morriss003) One of most enlightening moments in my life was when my family visited a couple my parents knew, and they had cake and ice cream for breakfast. Even as a child I knew that could not happen every day, but it taught me that every day did not have to be the same.

Another enlightening moment came when my grandfather took me to see a movie (Old Yeller) when I thought we were supposed to be going to church. He taught me that it was not necessary to obey every rule that had ever been made.

(Luckily my wife taught me that it was not necessary to break every rule that had ever been made!)
