Here's a fun quiz - What's your reading personality?

http://www.bookbrowse.com/quiz/

I'm an All-Rounder! I fit equally into each reading personality. :D

(I think what they're trying to say is that I'm a read-aholic, but that's cool with me!)

John Walker All-rounder also. That's likely the type of people that are part of this group.

message 6: by Ola (last edited Mar 12, 2014 10:10AM) (new)

Ola (polabear85) Nice quiz, and the result describes me pretty well, I think, though what's probably more telling about my personality is that I can't get over the spelling mistake in Question 5! ;) Anyway, apparently I'm an Exacting Reader!

message 7: by Rob (new)

Rob | 162 comments All-Rounder for me as well.

Choosing books by random draw may have something to do with that.

message 8: by Amber (new)

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) I got this one:

The Serial Eclectic Reader

Your responses show that you are both a serial reader and an eclectic reader, which indicates that you both read widely and frequently.

As a serial reader you're loyal to your favorite authors, but as an eclectic reader you're also open to new ideas and new writers, and are not wedded to a particular genre. That you manage to both keep up with your favorite authors and explore new writers indicates that you are likely to be what the research companies like to term a "heavy reader"

message 9: by Michael (new)

Michael (micky74007) Eclectic Reader, but I agree with Iasa

message 10: by Brenda (aka Grandma) (last edited Mar 12, 2014 04:23PM) (new)

Brenda (aka Grandma) | 278 comments Eclectic Reader. I've tried to call myself eclectic before but it's hard to get other people to use that word, so I'm pretty happy.

(edited to add a Confession: After I thought about this I realized I meant eccentric...)

Hee!

message 15: by Tracey (new)

Tracey | 916 comments I got the "all-rounder" too, but I didnt feel like a lot of the questions really didn't have an answer that fit my habits quite well enough.

message 16: by Mayme (new)

Mayme (theladymaym) | 104 comments All rounder! which, I guess is close enough for a generic online test (:

Cindy (BKind2Books) (bkind2books) | 1190 comments All-rounder, too!

I also felt that some of the questions did not have an answers that really fit me very well. Does that make me an Eclectic All-rounder?

You read for entertainment but also to expand your mind. You're open to new ideas and new writers, and are not wedded to a particular genre or limited range of authors.

Yes, this is very true. I give out my amazon info to share with family and my future SIL said her sister was shocked and laughed at my library because it was full of the most random stuff. I think anyone could make use of it lol

message 38: by Keya (new)

Keya I got the all around reader! This is funny, because I always describe myself as an eclectic reader.

message 39: by Luvs2read (new)

Luvs2read | 7 comments The Eclectic Reader ...

Sounds about right. I really do like reading all types of books, no matter what the publication date and have been quoted as saying "If I haven't read it then it is new to me"

Happy reading no matter what you read. :)

Your responses showed you fitting into two different groups - the exacting reader and the eclectic reader.

The expression 'so many books, so little time!' sums up your life. You love books but you rarely have as much time to read as you'd like - so you're very particular about the books you choose.

You read for entertainment but also to expand your mind. You're open to new ideas and new writers, and are not wedded to a particular genre or limited range of authors.

All-Rounder. Not surprisingly.
But seriously "finished my last book?" That never happens for me!

message 44: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) I didn't really like this quiz, there were 3 questions with no answer that fitted me :/
Oh well!

The Eclectic Reader

You read for entertainment but also to expand your mind. You're open to new ideas and new writers, and are not wedded to a particular genre or limited range of authors.

Sounds pretty much on target for me, I'd say .
