Hi everyone! So I have a question for you avid readers and book reviewers:

Should authors honestly review other authors' books?

Share your opinion!

October Breezz | 7 comments Yes, I think its awesome that other authors review other books. I think every author is awesome because they are talented enough to get their ideas in print and if they think of ways that the books they review could be better, that's great. some reviews are good and I know that if I ever got a story printed I would want people to review on it, whether it be good or bad.

October Breezz | 7 comments I just saw that you were an author and I think that is so cool! Maybe someday I'll be invited to the super cool club of authors.

Judson Roberts (judsonroberts) | 2 comments Is the emphasis of your question the word "honestly?--i.e., are you asking if authors should write reviews of other authors' books that are honest? I think any review should be honest, whether by an author or anyone else.

As an author myself, I don't tend to write negative reviews, at least not of works of fiction. First of all, if I don't like a book I usually will not take the time to finish it. But if I do like a book, if I was impressed with it, I certainly like to share that opinion.

Judson - I completely agree. If I don't like a book, I tend to not finish it. If I finish a book, that means I kinda liked it, which means it probably deserves at least 3 stars.

October - are you a writer?? Then someday -- if you want it badly enough -- you will!

message 7: by October Breezz (new)

October Breezz | 7 comments No, I'm not but I plan to if people think that should be with my words. I just hope that someday I will become one and, hopefully, be a good one.
