2015 Reading Challenge [Closed] discussion

I decided to read A Discovery of Witches for this week. There are a few books I have left unfinished. Most of those books are ones that I struggled through more than half of the book and finally called it quits. I'm not sure I could ever go back to these.

However, this book is different. Is tarted reading this one, and something in life happened. I cannot recall what that was, but I set this book down and didn't pick it back up. If I remember correctly I had only gotten a few pages into it, and I do not recall much of the book. I'm using this book as my unfinished book because it seems like it should be good.

Love love love this book! Every once in awhile I pick it up and open it randomly just to read pieces of it!

I finally starting this one with mixed emotions. I have finally come to the last book on my list. This is the end, but just the beginning of another book :)

I now know why I walked away from this book and did not blink an eye. It was so dreadfully boring. I would rather read another David Foster Wallace book than have to continue with this series.

I can understand why so many people love it, but I just was not feeling it. Maybe reading two paranormal (vampire-esq) novels at the same time was not the best idea. I walked away from Fevre Dream with almost the same feelings. Admittedly, I like this better than Martin's book.

I hope that I will enjoy this book more than you did, Manda, as all of my books are finished and I will test-try this one.
