Okay so... This subject came up because of an assignment that my pastor gave us in a class he is teaching about knowing what you believe & being able to talk to others about it. Basically he wanted us to talk to people and ask if they believe they are a Christian-- if so, what do they believe makes them one? And if they say they aren't a Christian-- what is keeping them from becoming one?

Though I may be wrong, I assume that since y'all are part of this group y'all consider yourselves to be Christians.

So my question is this: What do you believe makes you a Christian?

Believing in His Word even if I don't understand. Faith in His love when I am hurting and lost. Being saved and baptized.
I'm still new in my walk with Jesus, a lot of mistakes I am still making. But mistakes mean your trying!

Okay let's see. I'm with Tina but I guess I have to go for it in my own words. Haha
I believe I am a Christian because I believed on the Lord Jesus Christ that he was God and came and died on the cross for all my sins and rose again on the third day. I asked him to forgive me of my sins and save me and now I can feel his presence. Sometimes I feel alone and I can't feel Him but I know because of His word and the faith he is growing within me that I am saved and going to Heaven someday(: (:

I am a christian because I am sure that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, he came here as a human, lived the perfect life I couldnt and died the death I deserved and now He lives! And He will come again to take His bride (all the Christians) and live with them forever in heaven. And that day we will see God face to face (:
