Pine Field is a huge field stretching as far as the eye can see, great for taking a ride (on a horse from the Stables), or just laying peacefully in the green grass. It's name Pine Field from the huge Pine Tree sitting just atop the adjoining hill (you guessed it, Pine Hill).

Shima | 322 comments Davina lead Dylan along to the field. She mounted up on Kelsey and prepared to ride. "You ready?" She asked as she started to trot along on the field.

((I know nothing about horses, so I may fail at this))

message 3: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments Davina sped up a little on Kelsey, just passing Dylan as she rode. She felt the wind in her as she galloped along. Her heart beat fast in her chest, and it felt like nothing could stop her now. That's what she liked most about riding, the escape. You were in your own little world when you were on a horse. You didn't need to depend on anything or anyone, other then the bond between rider and animal.

Davina turned her head to see how far behind Dylan was, hoping he would speed up so they could ride side by side.

message 4: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments Davina quickly caught up to Dylan and Cowboy, matching his trick exactly. She could be just as impressive. "Eleven years." She replied back to him. Her father had taught her, they used to go riding everyday together. But then things changed, he became more serious, spent less time with Davina. She learned that she was better off riding by herself anyways though.

message 5: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "Sure I can." Davina said. She mirrored what Dylan did perfectly, then sat back down on Kelsey. Ahead, farther up on the field, was a jump. Vina prepared to jump, anticipating it. She knew she was good at jumps, and she hoped Kelsey was too, but she was interested to see how well Dylan and Cowboy would do.

Kelsey leaped over the jump, landing perfectly. Davina slowed her down and moved over to the side to watch how Dylan and Cowboy did. "Top that!" She said jokingly to him.

message 7: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "Well, aren't we a showoff." Davina said playfully. She pulled the reigns and Kelsey began to start trotting again, slow and steadily. It was a relaxing motion, at just the right pace. "So is Cowboy your's?" She asked Dylan.

message 8: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "I have a horse back home too, Star. She's black, with a few white spots on her. She's my best friend, the only companion I need. I miss her a lot, and she must be pretty sad too since I usually ride her everyday." Vina told Dylan. Kelsey trotted along calmly, Davina on her back. For the first time in a while she felt calm and relaxed. So much had been happening lately, and she wasn't able to escape on Star anymore. Kelsey certainly wasn't Star, but it was still nice to ride her.

(view spoiler)

message 9: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "Well when you put it that way it sounds kind of sad." Davina confessed to him. She had never thought about how little friends she had, since she had never cared. She had Cam and Star, and that's all she needed.

message 10: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments Davina stopped as well, deciding to let Kelsey graze too. She got of the horse, and went and stood by Dylan. "I think it's better friendless then to have fake friends." She told him.

message 11: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "I'm a princess, and I don't care what people think of me." Davina sat down in the grass. "Actually, I'm known as troubled and rebellious around my kingdom, but I kind of like it." She laughed as she said it. Whispers of her sneaking out, and hanging around with people who were a 'bad influence' on her, could be heard all around her village. Cam called her the Rebel Princess sometimes, of course he knew the true circumstances.

message 12: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "Sneaking out and stuff." Davina told Dylan. She grabbed a few blades of grass, and started to weave them. Soon enough she had created a small crown of grass. "Here." Vina said as she put the crown on Dylan's head. "Now you look like a prince."

message 13: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "What do I seem like to you?" Davina asked Dylan. She was curious to know what he was talking about.
She picked some more grass and weaved a crown for herself. "Now I look like a Princess." She paused for a sec, placing the grass crown on her head. "No, a queen!" She corrected herself.

message 14: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments Vina had already started making him another one. She weaved the blades of grass in and out, turning them to crown. She handed the new one to Dylan and said "Here".

"To you I might be nice, but to people I don't like I don't see any reason to be kind to them, so I'm not. I speak frankly, and a lot of people don't like that." Davina told Dylan. As long as someone didn't bother her, she acted perfectly decent to them. "I also lie a lot, and people don't like that. I see nothing wrong with it, because the truth hurts more then anything."

message 15: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments ((Sorry about the slow reply, I've been really busy lately.))

"You know, you worry about things to much." Davina said to Dylan. She pushed herself up from the ground and stood up. Kelsey was grazing a little ways away, Vina went over to where she stood and retrieved her.

message 16: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "I run sometimes." Vina told Dylan. She climbed back up on Kelsey's back and prepared to ride again. She started at a slow pace, but then Kelsey began to run. She was riding against the wind, almost flying over the field.

message 17: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments Vina slowed down for a moment to talk. "Not that much. I mostly spend my time trying to avoid the duties I have as a Princess. My mother wants me to be a fighter like her and to become queen one day, but it's not really something I'm interested in." Davina confessed. She was sure that Dylan was the type of prince who couldn't wait to be king, so he probably couldn't relate.

message 18: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "Do you really think being King is going to make you happy?" Davina questioned Dylan. Everybody wants to rule the world, to have power, until their wish is granted. Then they see what it turns you into. Her mother was once strong and independent, but overtime ruling a kingdom becomes too much of a burden. Davina didn't want that, she wanted to be free from the bonds that tied her to the palace.

message 19: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "Well I certainly don't want to be chained down like that. I run away, that's the only way I know how to do it." Davina told him. Maybe it did make her sound like a coward, but she didn't care. That's just who she was, a runner and a liar. Sure she wasn't the best person, but at least she didn't pretend to be all nice and perfect.

Kelsey sped up again, running through the windy afternoon.

message 20: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "I'm not cut out for that sort of thing. I think the job should go to someone who wants, not just someone who has the same blood. They be much better at taking care of my people then I would." Davina told Dylan. He really did answer a lot of questions, and that was starting frustrate her.

message 21: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "You really care about this sort of thing , huh?" Davina shouted up to him, as she struggled to catch up. Kelsey finally caught up to Cowboy, and she was once again in toe with Dylan. "Sometimes you just have to let your worries go, and live a little. It doesn't make you bad person or selfish, it makes you human. If everyone always spent their time contemplating what could happen if they did something, no one would ever be happy." She stated.

message 22: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "You don't, really?" Vina replied to Dylan sarcastically. Of course he worried often, he seemed just the type. She could read him like a open book, but she didn't probe any further. She bounded along on Kelsey, finally getting back to what she had came to do, ride. Nothing felt as good as riding, well except for running, but she wasn't really in the mood.

message 23: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments "Wanna ride back up to the stables?" Davina asked him. She felt as if she had gotten in enough riding for the day, and also planned on going tomorrow, so she didn't see the harm in finishing up early. Kelsey was urging to keep going, but Davina thought riding back could suffice for a good workout for the horse.

message 24: by Shima (new)

Shima | 322 comments Davina turned the horse around, and pulled on the reigns to signal Kelsey to start up again. She trotted along for a minute, enjoying the peaceful silence that came. Closing her eyes, she listened to the rythym of the horse riding along. Her eyes glanced over at Dylan and observed the rather proper way he sat opon his horse. Anyone would be able to tell he was royalty just from the way looked, he was pretty much the complete opposite of Davina.

Coincidentally, Tess was walking on the field whilst Miles thought about her. She noticed a figure lying down in the grass and instantly knew who it was- the person she had just been thinking about. She approached him, grinning at the smile on his face. She lied down next to him, hoping she didn't disturb him or scare him. Although it would be amusing, her intention wasn't to give him a heart attack. Tess believed he was asleep, smiling because of wherever his mind wandered subconsciously. She looked up at the sky, noticing the different forms the clouds were taking. She felt the cool breeze pass through her hair, a few strands blowing into Miles' face.

Tess jumped as well when Miles did so, laughing because of their surprise. She covered her mouth to stifle her laughter, as she was a bit self-conscious about it. "I was too. Well, not thinking about myself, I mean, you know, thinking about you," she babbled, blushing a little. Their fingers laced together so naturally, it was as if they were made for each other. Like pieces to a puzzle. "It's such a beautiful day, isn't it?" she continued rambling, just hoping he'd stop her soon. Tess often talked excessively and quickly when she was nervous, which happened often when Miles was around. He gave her what some would call butterflies in her stomach.
