Here at Something Old, Something New, we will be introducing a new monthly challenge. The goal of this challenge is to offer further incentive to knocking some additional books off of you ever-growing list of books you want to read through focused monthly goals. These may include information about authors, words in the title, cover colors, pictures included on covers and a variety of other mostly obvious criteria.
Each “task” has been assigned a number of points so you can be competitive with yourself or others involved in this challenge. There are no real rules. Review the list of ‘tasks’, read an applicable book, tell us you read the book and collect a few points. Want a reward? Well, you knocked some more books off your list and may have been able to add a few books other people have read. Oh…you want more than that? Well, OK, if you are the highest scorer, you can suggest a challenge for the upcoming month(s). This will skip a month so you have time to suggest what you want (and only if you want). The person who earns the most points in April, will be given an opportunity to suggest a task for June and so on.
We will post the challenge tasks/categories the last weekend of the previous month, so stay tuned.
