I've never really read the 50 Shades series (honestly!)...just read reviews of it, but he is a terrible person. Not only is he written very poorly as a character, he is just plainly horrible; and terribly misogynistic and sexist.

I can't believe that the series is marketed as a romance...much less the movie version. Definitely not any kind of 'relationship' I'd EVER want to be in - and I find it so disturbing that people actually think Christian Grey is THE definition of a "hot and sexy" guy. Yuck.

Melissa, I couldn't agree more. I read 1/3 of the book and wondered why all the hype! Try Ilona Andrews Kate Daniels series.. great read.

I doubly agree. It is all based on sexual hype...and as the old saying goes...sex sells everything. I picked up the book....read a couple pages and put it back on the shelf. Not worth my time or $$
