Kylie I really like reading books about Mental Illnesses and this has been recommended. Right now, with all that's going on in life, I don't want a book that's disturbing or creepy. What did you guys think of this book?

Carrie This book is set mostly in the female ward of a mental institution. The book itself is not creepy, although there are some aspects of patient lives/illnesses that could be seen as creepy. Yes, the book is disturbing, but a good read - it is autobiographical which added to the appeal for me. The movie was well-done - good performances by Winona Ryder, Angelina Jolie, and Brittney Murphy.

Spring There are sad and emotional moments in the book, but there is a lot of humor and insight as well. The book made me laugh and also cry. I don't consider it creepy, but touching. It's a short, easy read that I found hard to put down.

Hallie Huffman Not creepy unless you count what could put you in a mental hospital in those days. There is a point towards the end where the author speaks about the difference between crazy and not that makes it worth it alone. It gives a perspective not often seen.

Cierra It wasn't creepy at all. So worth reading, especially if you've seen the movie. Even when one of the girls committed suicide, it didn't go into great detail about it.

Gemma It didn't feel it was creepy but I do agree with Hallie regarding what could put you in a mental hospital.
