All of us dream of being able to travel - well, for October we are going to travel far and wide; through our books!

 photo the travelling challenge_zpsbjoa5paj.png

Rules:

#1. You need to complete a minimum of three of the five categories listed below to finish this challenge. One read - one book for each category.
#2. List (and LINK ) all the books you plan to read for this challenge.
#3. Upon completion of a book, rate it and update your progress!
#4. Don't forget our new guidelines HERE

The Categories:

1). Geographical Setting: Read a book set in a different country than your own.

2). Travel to a Different Genre: Read a book from a genre you haven't explored before/for a long time.

3). Cover Hunt: Read a book with a picture of a mode of transport on the cover.

4). Title: Read a book with a PLACE NAME in the title, such as the name of a country, state, city, town, etc. Titles with words like ‘woods’, ‘beach’, ‘mountain’, ‘river’, ‘garden’, ‘park’, etc, in the title would count as places too.

5).Reader’s Choice: Read any book of your choice.

A couple of links to help you choose

Different Countries
Place Names in Title

Lay back, relax and let the magic in the pages take you away!

message 3: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79969 comments Mod

Jenni Ogden (jenniogden) | 8 comments OK, this sounds fun. I'm traveling now and have been away from NZ for nearly 4 mths, but will be back mid October and glad to be home and reading about travel!

Excellent Jenni:) You're very welcome to join us...sounds like a fantastic time you've been having! I bet you're looking forward to being home again though:)

message 7: by Susan (last edited Sep 19, 2015 06:14PM) (new)

Susan May (susanmaywriter) I will give this a go. Don't know if I can finish 3 books with Deadly Messengers coming out in September and a load of interviews and stuff, but lets see. Interestingly enough I've decided to read a romance by an Aussie author Patterson Girls|25193726] and I don't read romances, so I've got one qualifier.

Fun idea, Brenda, love it! I'm also going away today for 5 days on a holiday, so does that give me one book qualification for free. lol

message 9: by K (new)

K | 1143 comments Can I count a cover with a horse on it as 'a mode of transport' since horses were the primary mode of transport basically until the 1930s?

message 10: by K (new)

K | 1143 comments I'm in. Even if I don't finish this in October, I can count it towards my overall reading challenge.
