Karen A. Wyle (kawyle) | 62 comments I'd greatly appreciate some feedback from the authors here.

Closest to the Fire: A Writer's Guide for Law and Lawyers is a bit of a monster (over 217K words). The paperback has a detailed Table of Contents, meant to serve as a synopsis of sorts, and I tried to phrase the headings so as to make it occasionally entertaining. In the 6x9 paperback, the TOC is twelve pages long, and includes chapter titles, headings, subheadings, and a few sub-subheadings.

The question is: what should the ebook TOC include? I could dump in the whole shebang, or cut back to chapter titles and headings (e.g.. Chapter 12 and 12.A.), or go with only chapters (of which there are 37). Some of these chapter titles are very general, e.g. What's It All About: Substantive Principles (Criminal). If you were using a "look inside" feature for the ebook on Amazon, say, and contemplating whether to buy it, how would you react to the long, medium, and short version of the TOC?

You'll find the full version at the link below (from the book's website). Thanks for your help!
