Jacque Pierce was just an ordinary 17-year-old girl getting ready to start her senior year in high school in Coldspring, Texas. When a mysterious foreign exchange student from Romania moves in across the street, Jacque and her two best friends, Sally and Jen, don't realize the last two weeks of their summer are going to get a lot more interesting.

From the moment Jacque sets eyes on Fane she feels an instant connection, a pull like a moth to a flame. Little does she know that the flame she is drawn to is actually a Canis lupis, werewolf, and she just happens to be his mate; the other half of his soul.

The problem is Fane is not the only wolf in Coldspring, Texas.

Just as Fane and Jacque are getting to know each other, another wolf steps out to try and claim Jacque as his mate. Fane will now have to fight for the right to complete the mating bond, something that is his right by birth but is being denied him by a crazed Alpha. Will the love Fane has for Jacque be enough to give him the strength to defeat his enemy, will Jacque accept that she is Fane's mate and complete the bond between them?

I can't say I was all that impressed last night. It's one of those books where there is too much unnecessary information.

Yep. I'm about 60% in and it's dragging really badly.

It reminds me of only nowhere near as good.

I am at 28% and I am enjoying this simplistic teenage read immensely!

I'm 13% in. So far this book seems like a quick read. I have liked what I read so far.

It is interesting to me how the wolves fight for their mate.. I am interested to see how this turns out.

I am struggling to get into this.

I'm sorry I can't get through the grammar and writing style. I'll finish it just because I can't put books away half read but I really don't like it.

The plots so unrealistic...fantasy still has to be realistic.

I'm done, I'm so done. Did anyone else find the characters unrealistic and seems the writer was trying to hard to sound like a teen. The book annoyed me.

Oh, I'm looking forward to diversity in this book with a Romanian character.

So far I'm on page 36 and I think this might be a slow read for me because it's not captivating my attention.

It has hope though.

Jacque and her friends Sally and Jen seemed immature and childish. Character description is not a strong point.

Fane and Jacque had a strange relationship so far. They are soulmates but they just seem hot and cold.

I agree with Christina, unrealistic.

Ch. 12 (view spoiler)[ Omg this game is hilarious!! Jenn is a riot. I love how Jacque doesn't shame Jenn for being a nymphomaniac except when she's too explicit. I love how accepting Fane is of her spirit and how even though he's protective and dominate he still tries to take her feelings into account. Ch. 27 (view spoiler)[ This is quite instalove-y but I don't care I love it. I don't like Lucas and where the fuck did he get the idea to try and claim Jacque. This whole claim thing kind of makes me mad anyway. I love how Fane will express his emotions in front of others. That's so unusual for male characters and I have to say I have mad respect for him (hide spoiler)]

Finished! (view spoiler)[ If you want fan service swoon worthy moments then you'll like this book. It was light hearted and pretty much all romance. But that's all it was for me. The rest of the book were typical thropes I've read many times before. Wolf guy meets his mate and they fall in love at first sight. Girl finds out about wolves and falls more in love with guy. There's some third party Challenger that creates a triangle and a challenge is thrown down. Of course, the winner is the main love interest. The end. It was ok. Enjoyable to read but meh.
