Hi friends!!!(: Looks like Proverbs has won for the next group buddy reads!!! So we will be starting Thursday, September 24th. I know i usually start on a Wednesday but since the devotion is going and its keeping me busy i kinda forgot about this. Hehe. So Thursday we will be doing one chapter a day in Proverbs. Here is where you will leave your comments and questions. Check in once (:

I managed to slowly read the first chapter. I did not know if I would be able to even start.

Actually, there are so many good verses, it is difficult to make mention of them all. There are warnings. Encouragement.

I enjoy Proverbs. Thank thee for having graced this group with a section for encouraging the reading of God's Word and the discussion thereof. . .one Book at a time! :)

The uneasiness of the circumstance at hand, amid growing appointments, and such the like. In a few words: Things that demand tending to. That is why it did not appear that I would be able.

I kind of forgot about this yesterday...so I'll be reading chapter 1 & 2 today. I love doing this with you guys. It really helps motivate me to read my Bible like I should.

Prudent and most sage advice and admonition lay within chapter three. Not merely confined to one chapter, but the whole of Proverbs.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

¶ Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Proverbs 3:5—8

Awesome!!! This is an awesome chapter :D
Really like verses 25-26.
*Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither if the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
*For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

Judgement will come unto the world in which we live but we, as Christians don't have to be afraid for the Lord Jesus knows us and is right with us through it all!!! Amazing :D

3:19 "The Lord by wisdom founded the earth;
By understanding He established the heavens; By His knowledge the depths were broken up, and clouds drop down the dew."
I have never heard this verse but it is so powerful. If My Lord can do this imagine what He can do for me and others.

I woke up early 3:30 with a yearning to read Proverbs. Wisdom. I grew up with no wisdom from God! I just can't imagine the Christian children of today!

Oh how I love to learn, read. Continue to teach me My Lord so I can be closer to you.

I had to read all 5 chapters this morning cuz I fell behind! But, in doing so I had the chance to sense a main message and it coincides with Christ saying, "If you love me you will keep my commandments." I pray this for all of us - through the power of His Spirit, we will turn from evil and cling to good and walk in His way. Create in me a clean heart, Oh God. Praise God for His Mercy!

Aww that was awesome Heather!! So true!! God wants us to follow Him!! May we all leave that which is of the world and cling to him!! Great chapters here!!! :D
