No...choose any level. You don't have to complete the previous two for the last one...yet, since Shilpa created the challenge, I would prefer you first confirm with her...

You can do it. :)

Hope this clarified your query :)

Joan Johnston | 6 comments I think my favorite romance author is Mary Balogh, if we're talking about "body of work." I love the very painful family separations that are mended by love, which run through all her books. However, I also have read all of Nora Roberts, Linda Howard, Elizabeth Lowell, Sharon Sala, and LaVyrle Spencer and have a lot of individual favorites by many, many authors, including RAINBOW SEASON by Lisa Gregory, which I have re-read endlessly. You'll notice I'm reading (have read) authors who are contemporary with me, but I'm always looking for great reads by new authors. jj

This is really funny since you mentioned "very painful family separations that are mended by love" I was going to ask if you've read Sisters Found and it turned out, YOU wrote it! Hello Ms. Johnston :) A couple of aunts of mine and I love your books :)

Joan Johnston | 6 comments Thanks so much! There is a "very painful" story that goes with Sisters Found that I've never told. Turns out one of my sisters (there were three of us one year apart) was sent away for a time when I was only three, because my mom had four children under five and couldn't cope. I was flabbergasted to discover that the plot of Sisters Found had really happened to me! jj

My mind is blown. A lot of readers have complained of that particular plot because it seems surreal. It must have been a very painful experience. I hope everything turned out fine in the end.

Joan Johnston | 6 comments It didn't, really. My eldest sister, Joyce, and I (I'm the third sister) bonded while the middle sister, Jeanne, was gone for those weeks--or maybe months (my mom and dad have passed and there's no one who knows the whole story), and Jeanne never got back in. I wondered my whole life why Joyce and Jeanne, the two eldest, weren't best friends instead of me and Joyce, first and third sisters. I didn't discover the answer until a cousin told me the story of Jeanne being sent away in an e-mail after Jeanne died last year of complications from diabetes. jj

I'm so sorry to hear about that Ms. Johnston :c

Joan Johnston | 6 comments The good thing is that I learned so much about myself and my family. Fascinating to see how much of my subconscious reveals itself in my writing. And please, call me Joan. jj
