Emmeline - Ruby - Kamiko -- Trilogy Story

Oh, well okay I just thought you were suggesting you wanted to okay nevermind then I'll take your name off
I think it would be fun to have to do it with us! I don't know about Emmeline, Emmeline, what do you think?

I like the idea, but 1) what are they saving the world from 2) how are they to accomplish it? And 3) are they saving their world or anothers?
Yeah, I get exactly where you're coming from - this is just a brainstorm kind of a thing, I don't know what those are, or what answers to the questions could/will be...it's still in the process - this isn't like the final thing or anything...

Ok. So Zodiac signs were originally from Babylonian and Greek astronomy right??? So let's zoom backwards. Think of this kind of like a cyberpunk idea (past, with futuristic elements). So we're in ancient Greece and there are twelve competitors, (we can map this out like you did your idea). You have a whole bunch of legs (have you watched Amazing Race? Where couples race and whoever comes in last loses? Kind of like that). But maybe instead of money the winner becomes praetorian guard or something(?)
Along the way you see their characteristics develop, etc. But you have to have an even number of bodyguards am-I-right?! So the losers have to be in some sort of gladiator fight that determine who will be the next praetorian guard. I don't know, just an idea.
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh...
O's times a quazillion...
But wait, the people who come in last compete for praetorian guard or the people who are in first (in the race thing) compete for praetorian guard??

Wait, so like in golf?? Where the person with the least points wins?

Because if the people who cross the finish line in the race LAST get to move on to the next test.... then everybody will be going as slowly as they possibly can and the race could last for, like, forever!
Or I'm just completely missing the point...
Or I'm just completely missing the point...

THE LOSERS compete in gladiator-like games.
THE WINNER does not (UNLESS the winner wants to save someone from that fate. Think of volunteers in the Hunger Games)
(Haven't seen or read Hunger Games, sorry >.<)
So, the losers compete in the games....why?
And the winner..is disqualified from becoming a person in the praetorian guard, or is automatically one of them?

The winner automatically becomes the FIRST praetorian guard.
The losers compete in the GLADIATOR games because there needs to be a SECOND praetorian guard (think of it as a second chance for a better/prosperous future). It just gives the Emperor/Empress added protection, and a chance for the people to root for some underdogs.
Does this make sense? I'm sorry I'm not explaining this too well. XP
OHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
So there are 2 people who are going to be the praetorian guard?
That makes soooooooooooooooo much more sense OKAY great I get it now!

Okay, so, maybe why don't we start on the characters, like maybe make sheets for them so we know what they are/what their personalities are, and who we want this story to be narrated by...good idea?

So I was thinking we should do this in first, but the main problem with that is we would have 12 possible narration POVs on our hands. We all know how those work out in stories (it gets overwhelming, confusing, hard to keep track of everyone). So I propose we create our own character that narrates the story, maybe like the forgotten 'zodiac' or something, that was blotted out of history.
Your thoughts?

Mm, okay! Here's the list again...To be fair how about I pick one then you pick one then I pick one and blah de blah?

Oh wait, should we determine how many boys and how many girls first? So there aren't like too many of one? And also, what should the age range be?

Capricorn: girl
Aquarius: boy
Pisces: boy
Aries: boy
Taurus: boy
Gemini: boy
Cancer: girl
Leo: boy
Virgo: girl
Libra: girl
Scorpio: boy
Sagittarius: boy
Oh. Welllllllll I was sort of imagining Pisces and Aries at least as girls, Pisces the sort of 'little sister' kind of character and Aries as the....Clarissa-from-Percy-Jackson-mixed-with-like-that-kind-of-thing-but-less-mean kind of a thing.
And I was thinking Gemini also a girl and she would have two personalities, like how the constellation Gemini is symbolic of twins and stuffs.....
And I was thinking Gemini also a girl and she would have two personalities, like how the constellation Gemini is symbolic of twins and stuffs.....
Here, wait, this is what went on in my brain:
Capricorn: boy
Aquarius: boy
Pisces: girl
Aries: girl
Taurus: boy
Gemini: girl
Cancer: boy
Leo: boy
Virgo: girl
Libra: girl
Scorpio: boy
Sagittarius: boy
Capricorn: boy
Aquarius: boy
Pisces: girl
Aries: girl
Taurus: boy
Gemini: girl
Cancer: boy
Leo: boy
Virgo: girl
Libra: girl
Scorpio: boy
Sagittarius: boy
So these are the ones we agree on...
Aquarius: boy
Taurus: boy
Leo: boy
Virgo: girl
Libra: girl
Scorpio: boy
Sagittarius: boy
Pisces: boy
And this is where we differ:
Capricorn
Aries
Gemini
Cancer
Aquarius: boy
Taurus: boy
Leo: boy
Virgo: girl
Libra: girl
Scorpio: boy
Sagittarius: boy
Pisces: boy
And this is where we differ:
Capricorn
Aries
Gemini
Cancer
This is really cool!! Do you mind if I throw my two cents in?
So there are 5 boys and 2 girls in the ones we agree on.
Capricorn boy:girl
Pisces boy:girl
Aries boy:girl
Gemini boy:girl
Cancer boy:girl
What should we do? (Sorry for so many comments, I'm just trying to diagram or whatever this out so it's easier to figure out)

now that I think about it... One twin could probably be a girl and the other could be a boy.... but Castor and Pollux is a bit of a stretch....
12 Names. 12 Kids. One World. One Chance.
No one wanted to do it, but it had to be done. No one stepped up, so they chose a compromise. A bucket was filled with all the names of every human under the age of sixteen and over the age of ten. They couldn’t spare anyone over that age and anyone under ten was too young to make the journey. It was decided that twelve names would be chosen and after a year of testing, six would make the actual journey to save the entire world.
From the bucket came these names:
Capricorn Byrne
Aquarius LaBerskey
Pisces ______
Aries _________
Taurus _________
Gemini ________
Cancer ________
Leo Keatts
Virgo _______
Libra Perrin
Scorpio ________
Sagittarius Cohen
What was it, fate? Was that it, that these small, hardly significant pieces of paper compared to the hundreds of others, were chosen? Was it fate that had each and every name chosen be one of the most famous constellations in the cosmos? Well, let's just wait and find out what 'fate' has in store for these names...
Well yeah, that's the gist of it, my idea was in the first 'book' the twelve kids are chosen and they are trained for a year, then in the second book the six that are chosen from the twelve make the journey to whatever place they have to go to to do whatever it is to save the world. And then in the last part they actually 'save the world'
It would be set either in a post-apocalyptic world, or another planet in another galaxy/universe.
Um, so feedback? Epictastic Idea or Epic Fail?
