Goodreads now has the book entered.

I ordered this book from Amazon, and it arrived yesterday. I began reading "Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined" immediately, and got hooked right away! However, I don't think that this version has the same romantic effect as the original. Still, I do like it!

Stephenie didn't simply switch the genders, and nothing else, as some haters have claimed. No, she also altered some of the situations to fit the altered characters. An example of this is the chapter in which, in both "Twilight" and "Life and Death", Bella and Beau go to Port Angeles. Stephenie changed the whole situation regarding Bella being in danger. In the new book, Beau's life is in danger, too, but in a different way. I could give more details and examples, but don't want to spoil things for those who haven't read it yet.

So I think this was a very creative literary experiment Stephenie performed! And I don't care who says otherwise!

I agree as I did not find it to be as romantic either but I did get some laughs concerning Beau which I never got about Bella. I found Bella's situation to be very dangerous or I took it more seriously. I enjoyed this book so much and glad you got a copy so quick. I felt much cheered up today after reading it. My copy is full of notes already. I want to do more questions but also want to give someone else a chance.

stephenie Meyer lists the 3 groups you should listen to while reading this and they are: Royal Blood by Royal Blood, Seeds by TV on the Radio, and 2.0 by Big Data. I will try to find them on You Tube as I own all the CD's from the Twilight Saga and I love very song but one!

I found many little subtle differences but of course there is the big difference which you will get to!!

I also noted there was more mention of angels. I think she referred to Edythe as being like an angel 8 times that I counted. (one mention of angel wings)

I bought the book this week and can't wait to start it!! I have heard mixed reviews but think I will love it!

I have started the book and am about 90 pages in. So far I am liking it, but not as much as the original Twilight series. Hope I will get more attached to it as I go. I have read the series so many times I can't count. I have to keep reminding myself to read this as a separate story and not spend too much time comparing them. I want to enjoy this book for the story itself.

I feel just the same. Its impossible not to compare them and at times I got confused. Let me know if you do also. The gender thing was tough.

You've read Twilight EIGHT times?! WOW!! I've only read it four times.... Are you referring to the first novel? If you are, yes, I've read it four times. I've read the entire series three times.

Yes, its actually kind of embarrassing at times how much I love that book! I own 3 copies of it too! I got new ones as I am prone to make notes and dog ear pages! I live in Twilight land. Today my brain thought it was in Forks! LOL!

I have only read the last book one time as it makes me cry too much. I keep planning to read it again but then I chicken out.

I've read the entire book, and am disappointed....I couldn't help comparing it to "Twilight" (the first novel, of course), and it just wasn't as romantic. I do think that Steph was very brave to do this literary experiment, but it didn't work for me. It just didn't. And when Edythe carries Beau on her back, OMG.....I can't believe Steph included this!

I have reviewed this novel, but only on my blog, A NIGHT'S DREAM OF BOOKS. I did not rate it. I'm not posting it either on Goodreads or Amazon, because I don't want to help the haters hate Steph more than they already do.

"Life and Death" just doesn't have the romantic vibe "Twilight" has. Also, the poignant quality of the story is completely gone.

I will ALWAYS love Steph and The Twilight Saga, though!! In fact, reading "Life and Death" has made me want to go and re-read the original novel, and then the rest of the books, AGAIN!!!!

Nothing and no one will EVER make me hate The Twilight Saga!!!!! TWILIGHT 4 EVAH!!!!! :) :) :)

I need to get these songs and go back and re-read the book while listening to them. It might help.....I hope. I just prefer the original SO much more!!!!

I feel the same and there have sure been a few here on goodreads who have tried to change my mind! (but no luck for them) I don't know why they try but they do! Its so weird!

Yeah, I don't know why they even bother! And why can't they leave us Twihards ALONE?! If they want to go ahead and hate Steph and her books, well, hey, it's a free country. But then they have to go and make fun of us, too, and even HATE us!! What's up with THAT?! We have EVERY right to LOVE The Twilight Saga!!!! They need to get that message through their thick skulls!!

I agree, I love the Twilight series and always will. And, I am not ashamed of it. I really wish people wouldn't push their own opinion on others as some "haters" do. Everyone likes different things. Embrace the difference in people! Life would be boring without it! I don't mind that they don't like Stephanie/Twilight, and I don't push them to change their minds. They should read what they like, and we will continue to re-read Twilight!
