The teens really loved this book (they gave it the second highest rating of all the books so far). They thought the writing style really fit with the overall feel to the story. The injections of 2nd person POV and the use of present tense really made the story feel more immediate. There is high interest in reading book 2.
2. What do you think of the cover? Does it represent the story well? Is it eye catching?
3. This story features a shift in point of view (POV) did this work for you or did it distract you?
4. What did you think of Nathan as a character?
5. What about his family? His sisters? Brother? Grandmother?
6. What are your thoughts on the world that Half Bad is set in? Did you find it unique or did it remind you of another story?
7. The Council seems to think of themselves as the "good guys" but they read as bad. Nathan is treated as a bad witch but reads as good. What are your thoughts on this and how does it tie into perspective?
8. Are you compelled to read Half Wild (Book 2) in this series?
9. Any additional thoughts?
