Predictions about the Year 2000 made in 1900

I'm not up on that whole exponential acceleration of technology formula, but I think there is an argument to be made that we are exponentially less able to predict what 2100 will look like than 1900 was able to foresee 2000.
I predict that the A.I.s will be arguing among themselves about whether human farms or human preserves are the best way to prevent our extinction.
Ha. Those are mostly silly (especially the underwater ones). But some are spot-on, right? ... like machines that make clothing and aerial fire fighting. I'm not sure what that lady is doing with the chickens and eggs though.
I've been watching some old Star Trek episodes and find it interesting that they predict things that are still futuristic like teleportation and instant computer medical analysis while their technical gadgets are clunky. Even episodes from the 1990s have huge computers and heavy hand-held devices. I think we have a tendency to dream/predict too big in some areas and not big enough in others. Luckily, there's no reference to FaceBook on board the Enterprise. Let's hope they get that right. ;)

An interesting and comical look of the "The Future"
