I like Hopkin's writing style in "Glass" because it is like a poem. It is very different from other authors' writing style and it makes the book more interesting to read. It's very unique the way that she styles and formats her writing. For example:

"Walking with the monster

Life
was radical
right after I met
the monster.
Later, life
became
harder,
complicated.
Ultimately,
a living
hell,
like swimming
against a riptide,
walking
the wrong
direction in the fast
lane of the freeway,
waking
from sweetest
dreams to find yourself
in the middle of a
nightmare" (1).

I feel like the book is very complicated, but realistic. The story line is something that could happen to anyone, and probably has happened to someone in their lifetime. The life of a teenage girl who is addicted to meth and has a child to take care of isn't something that we hear everyday, but it's not impossible. Many teenage girls are becoming pregnant these days. I feel like this book would be an eye opener.

The basic plot of the book is that it continues Kristina's life after she has her baby. She has a boy and she names him Hunter. She gave up the monster of meth, but she soon comes back to it. Her father comes in the picture again and this influences her to go back to her old ways. The book explains her life turning upside once again and if she will be able to take care of her own child or not.
