Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ If I'm understanding the link correctly the book isn't banned in Denmark (or anywhere else) you just have a reviewer on Amazon that doesn't like you or your book?

& you aren't having this issue on GR?

I do beg your pardon! & no I don't speak Danish, but I'm going to have a look around & see what I can find.

Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ I couldn't find much online about you & running your link through a translator I basically got gibberish.

A 42 year old male writer could not be reconciled with the idea that he could not get the public lending right, because he is not a Danish citizen, and it went last fall beyond Ringsted Library.

Here was hired 16 of his books with porn images, handwriting with ink, torn and cut sides, writes sn.dk.

In the Court of Roskilde explained the author according dombogen that the vandalism was a protest. He was also unhappy that the Danish libraries will not let him buy the books back so he can sell them.

Thursday fell judgment: The author must pay 6,035 kronor in damages to the library and six daily penalties of 400 crowns to the treasury.

I was asking myself the same thing though, as the Amazon forum in no way shows that the book is banned, just that the author obviously has some trolls stalking him. With the new link provided, it makes a bit more sense, but like you, I do not speak or read Danish. If the OP would be able to provide a link in English that would be beneficial because the Amazon forum does not really provide enough background and and really does not show that the book is officially banned anywhere.

Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ I really wouldn't like to see you post anything that would put you at risk Stephan!

& I can't really help you much about 1 starring at Amazon as I don't review there. Frankly I don't give much credit to their ratings at all (& don't know anyone who does)& I wouldn't worry about a single reviewer giving one to you.

This all sounds very strange. I have never heard about books being banned in Denmark (other than in historical times). The news paper article is about vandalisme – not about a banned book:

“Author must pay after vandalizing books

Yes I still don't understand that article.

J_BlueFlower (j_from_denmark) | 24 comments Main point here is that the book is not banned. It was actually on loan from a public library.

J_BlueFlower (j_from_denmark) | 24 comments A banned book is a book (or similar) ”which are prohibited by law or to which free access is not permitted by other means.” So, by that definition your book is not and has never been banned in Denmark.

You getting or not getting a part of the Danish “bibliotekspenge” has nothing to do with “banned”.

J_BlueFlower (j_from_denmark) | 24 comments You do not have a right to publish or exhibit at the expense of others' ownership of the means. If the owner of that book café did not want to exhibit your book it has NOTHING what so ever to do with banning or censorship. And if has nothing to do with the Danish state.

This discussion is waste of time when you insist on using words so far away from their common meaning.

J_BlueFlower (j_from_denmark) | 24 comments You cannot find a book in a Danish library that I wrote, but that does not mean that I am banned. If you want to discuss please use words in a way that does not intentional mislead.
