kvon | 563 comments I'm nominating Ancillary Justice for best novel this year. I don't have really strong feelings for the other categories, except Gravity for best long drama (and I'm throwing in there the xkcd:Time story, which certainly ran over 90 minutes). Other than the Wheel of Time series (see thread), are there any other suggestions for the various categories (short fiction, related fiction, fancasts, artists, editors, new authors)?

Ben Rowe (benwickens) I will vote for

Saga for best comic. Although there may be other great works to nominate this is the only great work I have read from 2013.

Wonderbook: The Illustrated Guide to Creating Imaginative Fiction for best related work
The Uninvited for best novel - other novels of 2013 I either didnt like or have not read yet. From dipping into them Fallen Land and A Stranger in Olondria might get my nominations if I have time to read them.

Game of Thrones Red Wedding episode would get my best dramatic short work unless I get round to seeing 2013 episodes of Adventure Time before the vote comes.

I have not yet read any short fiction (all catagories) that have made me go wow enough to vote for them but this is more because I have not got round to reading enough short fiction from 2013 yet. Nina Allan's Spin is waiting to be read as is Six-Gun Snow White and several stories from Dangerous Women. Dont know whether I will get enough reading done to vote on anything here.

Fancast wise I love Coode Street and Writer and Critic so they will make the ballot

Fan writer wise I enjoy Ian Mond's blog so might vote for it. I also enjoy the articles by Adam Roberts but not sure whether he is eligible or not. Abigail Nussbaum also will get a vote from me as might Jonathan McCalmont.

Fanzine wise Strange Horizons and Lightspeed are strong contenders for my vote.

Campbell Award wise - Sofia Samatar would be a worthy winner with excellent short and long work but I do not know enough about any other contenders for any second votes.

Short fiction editor wise is tough because there are so many good ones out there but Ann Vandermeer, Neil Clarke, John Joseph Adams, Gardner Dozois and Jonathan Strahan will probably be my 5 votes but not at all sure of the order.
