Kylie Leblanc (kylieanne88) | 5 comments I just finished this book, and I am in tears. The power of the monster inside of you. Wow. The different stories, i really had a hard time seeing where they fit in, until the end. The last couple chapters really pulled it all together. To me, the ending was real. There was no fairy tale. Just real life heartaches and pain. So many of us deal with this type of loss, but you do come through it. And almost always a different person. What are others thoughts on this ending and the way this story played out?

Trini | 14 comments This book...this book...

I didn't really like the beginning of this book, and I thought it was kind of dull, but the end had my eyes watering, which is the closest I've ever been to tears. The end of the book was literally perfection. It didn't resonate with me as much as with other people, because I only experienced the loss of a family member/loved one just once -- and that was when I was very young, when I learned that my uncle, who I had only met once, had died.

But this book was still amazing.

Kylie Leblanc (kylieanne88) | 5 comments I agree about the beginning. It was sort of dull and to me went into detail about things that were irrelevant to the story as a whole. But it did seem to pick up later on.

Amy C (amy_c_books) | 20 comments I listened to this book which I am so so glad I did. The narrator made this story for me. His voice for the monster is so haunting, so captivating and all together amazing. I was a sobbing ugly crying mess the last few chapters or so. I thought this story fantastic from start to finish.

Carly | 29 comments This book was nothing like I thought it would be, and I mean that in the most positive way possible. Wow. Although I've never experienced the death of someone close, I felt all the emotion through Conor. This book was so powerful.

Side note - The Dad and his new wife (who doesn't deserve the title of step-mom) were horrible. They made me SO angry.
